More About KJ the master tailor

Behind The Seams

I grew up in Kabul, Afghanistan.
When I was a child, nothing comes to mind more than watching my mother on a Sunday morning, making nice clothes for me, with only some fabric, thread, and her two hands.

As I grew, I got used to dressing dapper and sophisticated. I loved the way I looked, and when I was 12 years old I asked my father to take me to my uncle’s tailor shop to be come a tailor.

After high school my family moved from Afghanistan. At the age of 20 I made my dream, my career. Doing small jobs for local people in the town.

By 25, I began running a factory as a master tailor making clothes. I have never looked back, and love every single day more and more.

I moved to America in 1983. And began working for Mens Warehouse. After 3 short years I was the Regional Tailor overseeing 30+ shops up and down the East Coast.

In 2010 I began running KJ Custom Tailoring & Alterations full-time. Now with my dreams fulfilled, I look to new customers each day to go above and beyond for, by giving them unique and impeccably fit clothing.
